Nearly ready for opening

After a very hectic couple of weeks our Village Hall is looking lovely it is all freshly painted and smells lovely and fresh, now the cleaning starts as the last wall gets another coat of paint and fingers crossed we will be having our open day this weekend. We will also be looking for people to run different events in our hall. We are looking for people that are wanting to hire the hall to run keep fit, Dance (any kind) as in Moky fit, Moky kids, Line Dancing, Zumba. We are looking for someone to open a self defence class. Basically if you have an idea for a group and are willing to run it, we would love to here from you. In time we are planning on opening a luncheon club for the elderly. Coffee Mornings, Bingo, Craft and chat groups and we will be looking for people that are willing to help set up and run a Youth Club. These people will form their own committee and have their own constitution which will enable them to apply for their own funding to help them set up their own youth club, get their Insurance, DBS checks done (used to be CRB) and become affiliated to Young Cumbria which will enable them to access training to run a Youth Club. The Youth Club will be completely independent and hire the hall just as other group will do. It will not be run by the Trustees of the Village Hall, however one of our Trustees is willing to help set up the committee and assist and advise to help get the Youth Club off the ground.
