Harriston village hall and Halloween update

Sadly this year has been a really sad one for our village hall, we have not done an awful lot due to Covid19. Food Pantry We have managed to keep our food pantry open for the village, if anyone in Harriston would like to join our food pantry, then please contact Henry using our email: harristonvillagehall@gmail.com or phone him and leave a message 07795907985 for further information. Trial Coffee afternoon We have been busy putting in place everything that is required, to ensure our village hall is Covid-19 secure, this is required before we can open back up to the public, with a view to holding a trial coffee afternoon in the near future, please keep an eye out for further details of the date on here and on our Facebook page. Social distancing will be in place, face masks will need to be worn inside the hall. there is hand sanitiser by both the front door and by the back door. There will be a strict one way round, using the front door as the entrance and the back door as the exit. There will be a sign on the door which people can scan for the NHS track and trace app on their phone, or if you prefer you can fill a form in with your contact details, should we need them, these will be kept for 21 days and then destroyed. Once inside the hall find a seat, and one of our trustees or volunteers will come to you for your order, once you have your drink you can remove your mask to drink it, but you will need to put it back on if you need to go through the hall to the toilets, or to use the tuck shop. Halloween updates: We are sadly unable to open the hall for our Halloween party this year, due to covid-19 restrictions and regulations that are required. This is usually one of the main highlights of the year, for not only the village but also our Trustees, Volunteers and Helpers. Pumpkin in your window People on the village, have also suggested getting your children to colour a pumpkin picture, then put it in your front window, if you are doing trick or treat, just like people did with the rainbows. This could also change if the Government change their restrictions to lock us down. Please see our poster below, we will still be handing out prizes for the best dressed houses, the scariest scarecrow witches, and monsters. We will also be giving out prizes for the best costumes, get your pictures taken and email them to us for judging. All pictures will be put on our Facebook page and website.

We hope everyone one has a safe Halloween, please becareful and keep at a safe distance.
